The Challenge
The customer had a very old, legacy-design GE Frame 5 gas turbine. The part numbers and drawings on site didn’t apply to their specific unit, and they had no record of what they actually needed. Nothing matched what they had in hand against the information available. The customer, based nearby, dropped off the example fuel swirler pulled directly from the unit.
The Solution & Results
Avanti Power Components reverse-engineered the original fuel swirler using our manufacturing channels and connections. We had ten brand-new units manufactured within two weeks.
This was literally their only option since what was on the machine was not available in any capacity. They had to be made.
